I came into my yoga journey just before I became pregnant with my daughter and was hooked. Once becoming pregnant, I had to wait 14 weeks before I could start pre-natal yoga, but it was worth the wait and I am so glad I didn’t give up then. I truly fell in love with everything yoga had to give while pregnant and I have never looked back. I am not an all day, every day yogi – I would LOVE to be, and am working towards it, but I have a daughter (my talented cover model), a step-son, a husband, dog, cat, three fish… a household to run, a part-time consulting gig. So my progress is slow and steady but I am learning every day. That is what is so amazing about yoga! And I have to say, its what drew me to kids yoga – imperfection! Well, and my daughter. Nothing is better than your being able to share with your child the gift of yoga, breathing, and mindfulness.
I want everyone student and parent to know that its ok if your kids don’t hold a pose perfectly, its ok if they are having an off day, as long as they are trying their best, that’s all that matters! And I hope that everyone knows that is what I bring to the mat – my best, each and every day. Teaching kids yoga just makes my heart smile! I know that sounds super cheesy, but I have no other way of putting it.
I put my heart into every class and I love putting together classes for my students, not for me. Because of this, I am continuing to learn more and more about what yoga and mindfulness can truly do for children, children of all ages and all abilities, and I love to share it. So I have created this company, this website, this Facebook page to do just that. I also love to share up and coming businesses, authors, creators, doers, you name it! So expect that here too! There is so much information out there! I hope to consolidate here and provide a resource guide for parents, teachers, and students alike.
